PCS/CTS, Inc. - QA Failure Analysis Engineer

 

Our company provides reverse logistics solutions, repairs wireless telecommunication, LAN/WAN equipment, storage products, and LCDs. We are searching for a QA Failure Analysis Engineer in our Houston, Texas location.

 

Job Description:

  • Plans and executes failure analysis on electronic assemblies, product repair and testing;

  • Responsible for identifying physical mechanisms that cause product quality and/or reliability failures;

  • Able to perform root cause failure analysis of electrical components and materials in addition to being responsible for root cause failure analysis investigations and reporting;

  • Analyzes any and all available information to determine when processes and/or products are not performing to specifications and/or expectations;

  • Will work with suppliers and engineers to resolve workmanship, material and process issues, implement corrective actions and write comprehensive root cause failure analysis reports;

  • Responds to product returns by failure analysis, reporting and corrective action recommendations;

  • Develops and maintains quality information systems for analysis of material quality and component analysis reports and charts as necessary to communicate product and/or process performance;

  • Develops and implements new failure analysis methods;

  • Recommends process and/or design improvements to prevent reoccurrence of failures;

  • Facilitates Material Review Board (MRB) as required to assure objectives are met;

  • Active participation in the company’s quality program and compliance to ISO 9000:2000

 

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical, Industrial , Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent;

  • Minimum two to five years engineering experience in failure analysis within a computer manufacturing or quality control inspection environment;

  • Working knowledge of statistical process control and experimental design concepts

  • General understanding of basic electronics and computer science

  • Efficient computer skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel);

  • The ability to manage time and priorities effectively;

  • Self-motivated, team player, able to pro-actively communicate with other departments

  • Capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines

  • The ability to effectively extract, analyze, and report data as necessary and to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills;

  • Works well in a fast paced environment with capability to interface throughout all levels and functions of the organization as a team player with little or no supervision;

  • Excellent knowledge of tools and methods related to inspection and analysis of component and assembled parts of both mechanical and electrical products in pc related environment;

  • Experience in successful solving problems when dealing with customers and suppliers

The City of Pearland is currently recruiting for an Assistant City Engineer.  The successful candidate will assist the City Engineer with planning, survey, design, and preparation of easements and reports, to ensure that platting and engineering construction drawings are completed for approval and that new residential and commercial construction conforms to City of Pearland specifications.  This candidate will be responsible for City-wide flood plain management and review and approve all drainage and traffic impact analysis.   

Qualifications required:   A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. Experience in the use of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ICPR, and other hydrology and hydraulics modeling software is preferred. Certified Flood Plain Manager, or the ability to acquire within six months of employment.  Valid, Class “C” Texas Driver’s License.  Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.  Five years of responsible experience in civil engineering involving supervision, six months of field surveying experience, and six months of construction inspection.
