Google Directions From downtown, exit I-10 (West) and turn right (North) onto Barker Cypress. Go one (1) mile on Barker Cypress and turn left (West) on Saums. Go 0.7 miles and turn right (North) on West Park View Drive. Follow the curve to the right-hand side and it's the 2nd pavilion you pass.

Details:Please join us for an informal networking afternoon of family-oriented fun and food. The pavilion is right by a playground for the kids but feel free to bring any outdoor games that you have. SWE-HA is going to put together a few fun things for the attendees and providing drinks. We kindly request attendees to bring a dish of your choice.

Please include your dish in your reply so we have an idea of what everybody is bringing: A-H Vegetable/Fruit; I-R Side Dish (Pasta salad, beans, etc); S-Z: Dessert

SWE-HA FY2013 Elections

It is time to elect the new officers for fiscal year 2013 (FY13) which runs from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. The SWE Houston Area elections start May 1st and run through May 25th. Vote via Survey Monkey or download the Paper Ballot and mail it to the SWE-HA PO Box 1355, Houston TX 77251-1355.

This election will select the President, 3 Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, 3 Section Representatives, and 1 Trustee. The nominees and biographical summary for each candidate are attached and included within the survey link.

Election time also means renewal time for non-life members! Head over to the Society website soon to renew for FY13 or consider starting a life membership. Remember to renew with SWE’s partner organizations AISES, NSBE, and SHPE at the same time and receive a discount for joint membership. There are many fabulous events coming up soon, including WE12, the Annual Conference, which will be held in Houston at George R. Brown Convention Center in November 2012! Mark your calendar now!
